Family and Long Lost Friends

As I’ve said before, I often have some great ideas (or well, great to me) about what to write about in this spot.  More often than not, these ideas come while I’m not in a position to note them and I forget about them by the time I get a chance to write.  Well, one of the things I’ve been wanting to write about is my blogroll.

Patti’s Originals - This is my mom’s blog.  Actually, more than a blog, it is her “design journal”.  My mom’s home business is called Patti’s Originals, and she sews “Modest Clothing & A Touch of Whimsy”.  My dad helps out with some of the items (hair bows and jewelry mostly), but mom does all the sewing.  If you are looking for nice clothing, or just something fun, check it out.  Actually, check it out anyway, you never know when you might want something like what mom does.  If you don’t check it out you’ll never know.  I know my daughters loves the things they gets from their grammy.

Scott W. Kay - Years ago in high school, Scott was my best friend.  College and marriage and life caused us to drift apart and we lost contact.  This summer, I made it back to Houston, Texas (where we lived at the time) for vacation and asked about Scott.  Turns out he was pastoring in Atlanta, Georgia, just a few short hours from where I live in Greenville, South Carolina.  Knowing Scott from high school, and seeing where God has brought him, I’m certain that God is moving and using him.  Check out his blog, but be prepared to think about what you read.

I’m sure that as I go on, I’ll be adding more links to blogroll, but for now, that is it.  Check them out, and if you feel like commenting, let them know I sent you.  I’m sure that both of them will be interesting.
